Adult ceramics courses

6 themed ceramics courses for adults, run by professional ceramists:
"Décor cloisonné", Saturday 14 June or Friday 18 July, by prior arrangement, at Le Couvent de Treigny. Led by Isabelle Delin. Course: creation of a decoration using the "cloisonné" technique, preparation of a poncif according to its decoration. The design will be laid on a white biscuit stoneware tile. Laying glazes with brushes.... By prior arrangement, €150 per day per trainee, 2 to 6 people max.
"Slab work", Saturday 7 June or Friday 11 July, by prior arrangement, at Le Couvent de Treigny. Led by Isabelle Delin. Course: making slabs, without a crouteuse, in the African style (throwing clay), then assembly. By reservation, half-day €80 per trainee, 2 to 4 people max.
"Introduction to press engraving", Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, by prior arrangement, at Le Couvent de Treigny. Led by Evelyne HENRARD. Course description: presentation of the different engraving techniques / Creation of 3 engravings: a monotype, an engraving on tetrapack, an engraving on wood-cardboard. By reservation, half-day €40 per trainee, 2 to 4 people max.
"Tournage, initiation and improvement", All year round by prior arrangement, at St-Amand (58). A la carte course, run by Evelyne HENRARD, in her workshop in St-Amand (58310). Course description: throwing, introductory or advanced, with the instructor present non-stop. Clay provided (possibility of firing for a fee). By reservation, full day €150 or half day €75 per trainee, 1 to 2 people max.
"Animal modelling", All year round by prior arrangement, at Loye (18). 3 consecutive days, à la carte, led by Nicole Crestou, in her workshop in Loye (18). Course description: creation of animals using several modelling techniques, in the mass, by plates, by assembly... Research into movement and surface treatment. By reservation, 300€ per trainee/3 days, 2 to 4 people max.
"Têtes d'expression", All year round by prior arrangement, at Loye (18). Course of 3 consecutive days, à la carte, run by Nicole Crestou, in her workshop in Loye (18). Course description: creation of an expressive head, research into a technique that will enhance the chosen expression and the designer's style. The biscuit of a piece is included in the price of the course. By reservation, 300€ per trainee/3 days, 2 to 4 people max.
