Trail & Walk Le Creusot/Chalon

Follow in the historic footsteps of the Chalon/Le Creusot walk!
From 1981 to 2002, the Club Alpin Chalon organised this emblematic walk, also known as "La Marche du Courrier", in partnership with the Courrieur de Saône-et-Loire, formerly the JSL.

The first time was in 1981, with 600 people, and it has since grown to more than 2,000 men, women and children. Alone or in groups, families, companies, clubs, villages, even school groups... small groups will form. The local newspaper wrote: "In one night, the walk covered more ground than the whole world!

It was created for originality, at night, for a change... Tournucîmes did not exist at that time. The idea was to offer walkers, hikers and runners (as the trail movement was not yet in full swing at the time) the chance to walk or run at night, in complete safety.
