PARIS-MARCIGNY writing the steps

For 13 days, I'll be making my mark on the world. My body becomes a paintbrush on the skin of the earth. Each day, my walking stick gradually transmutes into a totem, capturing the particles of the path and the energies of the places I pass through, while the dust becomes raw material, the tangible memory of my passage. The artefacts I collect - abandoned rubber bands, fragments, traces, remnants of scattered moments - weave together the story of the territories I've travelled through.

As an extension of this walk, the 19 totem poles on show, totalling 6,270 km of walking, stand like halts, echoing the performance, extending its movement and memory. Each is a heterogeneous imprint, a suspended witness to the kilometres walked. The stick I carry while walking will become the 20th totem, completing this cycle of transmutation.
