Exhibition: Versant Fusain

From Thursday 3 to Tuesday 29 April 2025, students at the art school (young people and adults) will be taking to the heights of graphite with their pencils.
Under the guidance of their teacher Christian Caillet, the 12 to 14 year-olds have come up with a series of scenes combining pencils with other elements that take us to the heights, combining humour, sport and wildlife. The adults, accompanied by their teacher Emmanuelle Valion, composed an image by associating a drawing tool, one or more pencils or a pencil sharpener with mountaineers in the process of climbing this object that has become a relief.
The change in scale of the objects and characters in relation to the real world creates original images full of surrealism
original images full of surrealism, humour and poetry. This charcoal-on-paper exercise will take visitors to new heights.
In all, more than thirty creations will be on show at the Maison du tourisme throughout April, giving visitors a chance to discover an original side of the mountains.
